The river has enough flow to maintain at least one surfing wave 10 months of the year.  During higher water levels two waves can be maintained.  During flooding both ramps will be lowered to not restrict water flow.  A path on the west side will be kept for tubers and paddlers and other river users who want to avoid the wave.
